LEX SPECIALIS ESSAY COMPETITION

ON CONTEMPORARY LAW & POLICY

 

Lex Specialis wishes to inaugurate the platform by inviting submissions for an essay competition on the theme “Contemporary Law & Policy”. The competition is open to all working professionals, research scholars, and especially students currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate courses at any recognized university/college. The essay competition is open to accept essays based on recent amendments, law, rules and policies related to any area of law. 

 

Guidelines

  • The authors can write on any sub-theme provided above or any sub-theme connected to CAA. 

  • The word limit is of minimum 1500 words and maximum 2500 words, exclusive of footnotes. 

  • Footnotes shall follow a uniform format of 19th or 20th Bluebook Edition or OSCOLA.

  • Co-authorship is allowed to a maximum of 2 authors only (i.e. one person as first author and second person as the second author).

  • In case a co-authored essay happens to become a winning entry, then the prize money is supposed to be shared between the co-authors.

  • The last day of submission of essay and registration is 31 August 2020 at 11:59 p.m.  

  • The essays need to be submitted at lssubmissions20@gmail.com along with the payment receipt, or else the submissions would not be considered for the essay competition.

  • The details of the author(s) such as Name, University Name, and Year of Study, should be mentioned in the body of the e-mail through which the essay is submitted.

  • Only one entry per participant is allowed. In case of multiple entries by the same participant, the latest entry submitted before the prescribed deadline shall only be considered.

1st Place: Rs. 400/-

2nd Place: Rs. 250/-

3rd Place: Rs. 150/-

 

Registration and Payment Details

  • The registration fee is Rs. 150 for single authors and Rs. 300 for co-authors.

  • The registration fee can be paid through your Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, Amazon Pay, or BHIM UPI App.

  • The registration fee can be paid by the QR Code given below.

  • The last day of registration is on 31 August 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
